Default UW monks

This has become really sad.

Now not only have monks become even more arrogant with their new build.

Now they are backstabbing people for profit, they'll join saying they are a healer/etc. but when you get in they start soloing it and just tell everyone to RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO off o.o

One name in particular "-- udder ----" thats not his true name, but since you cant put names I decided to just put the udder part in, if you seen the name you'll know who it is. He joined us to be a healer, he comes in and makes the entire chamber attack at once and he just sits there with protective bond and healing breeze, when its finally clear we ask for rez and he just says "what use are you?" "I didnt bring rez" etc.

Thats just plain mean. If anything we need some kind of thing to announce your skill bar, cause you mostly have to take people for their word, and more than enough people are just there to screw others over.

I'm sorry if you're frustrated but, please, refrain from profanity, particularly in the title. I have edited out the offensive word.

I think what he's getting at is a screen (such as has been posted in the Sanitarium) that shows what is on everyone's bar BEFORE the mission begins. That way you see firsthand what skills everyone's bringing along.

Well yes... i suppose that could work, but if this monk is really a (mean word) then he will take pic, then switch skills while "uploading".

I know people like this...

well i guess he could switch it around, but what i really meant.

Is like how you can announce your level and % closer you are to next level/point or what your energy/health is.

Like have the monk be the last person to announce it and be like

I AM USING HEALING BREEZE, BALTHS AURA, REBIRTH, HEAL OTHER, etc.

have like something you can ctrl+click to have them yell out their skill bar to you, then the very second you have a swift look at it, you zoom right in there so he doesnt have enough time to switch around.

I dunno, just a suggestion x.x this really really REALLY got me pissed off.

Nope that wont work either, you cant announce in the ToA, you can announce inside the UW which isnt helpful in this position at all

Yes. Because the only assholes in the game are monks. For all the things that monks have to put up with, I think having a clever (for the person who made it first) solo build is little compensation.

No wont work
there is nothing to say if your got an %^%$ that he will use the skills etc

Was in a uw team last night with 3 monks me being one of them and players kept on dying. I was healing as fast as I could. while keeping the tanks up I forget about myself so I die.
Have no idea what the other 2 monks were doing.
that was one really bad experience, as my monk is pretty good.

Just get over it and move on there are some really great players who can make the game fun just keep a list of good players or add to friends list if they are on then party up before you know it you will be having fun with some like minded players.
Those others will be left behind.

How bout a command where you hold CTRL and click a special area that's part of your skill bar and it will say (in a special color, so it can't be immitated) what's on your skill bar?

ctrl + click

"Bold As Love: [specialcolor] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, skills of your build"

Yeah well maybe they put up with alot of crap, but dont screw over the people who actually respect a good monk, heck I even ask as a catch phrase "have you hugged your monk today?".

There are lots of stories like this around. I remeber someone talking about monks who went half-way into Fissue and then demanded 10K each, then ruined the mission when they weren't paid.

Monks can get into groups there no matter what. It's not like it takes them more than 5 seconds to scam someone else into paying their 1K for them.

Thats because, just as any other class, there are bad monks. Except those monks are arrogant because they are an uncommon class. If I choose to go it alone, which I would if the rune prices weren't insane right now, then I wouldn't mess with people just cause I could (although, I'm tempted )

You don't seem to understand this bar picture concept. There is a button you press which brings up everyone's CURRENT skill bar. If a change is made, it is instantly changed on the picture of everyone's skillbar. There would be know way to cheat this, besides changing a skill at the last second, but changing all 8 skills at the last second would require SERIOIUS speed or lack of observation from the rest of the team.

Gee. I didn't know about this problem with monks botching up UW or FoW parties. On behalf of all respectable monks out there I offer apologies - please don't let that handful of jerks besmirch the honorable monk profession.

If the only reason to not having a display that shows your skills to the party is that they can simply change it once they have spammed it...
...then I have lost all faith in humanity. Lieing about such a trivial task because you think that you are "teh 733t [email protected]" deserves a 5 minute suspension from the game. If people complain then they should receive an additional ten minute suspension and a polite e-mail about ethics.

/sarcasm off? You decide.

There's no excuse for people being assholes.

There's also no excuse for another person wanting to hinder the other's fun. Does a solo monk (that's not an arrogant asshole) ever make your life miserable? I don't see how a farmer, solo or not, can ever screw you over. So why are you trying to take away from him a way to have fun?

PS: No, I don't run this build.

this makes no sense at all. the trick with the build is that you can do it solo. By joining a group and then farm, your loot is less.
I have a UW farmer, and have joined a few groups. But we made clear agreements. I went tanking for them on the places i could. I got a lot of love from my UW groups always.

Don't hate them, befriend them. I have a friend who has a monk that solos the place, but I tag along with him. Why? Because with me going along we get things done in a fraction of the time that either of us could solo it.
